Coushatta Casino Resort Associates Donate $9,900 to Benefit Melissa Doise Hope for the Miracle Foundation

December 9, 2019

KINDER, LA––During October 2019, Coushatta Casino Resort associates participated in a fundraiser to benefit a local non-profit organization, Melissa Doise Hope for the Miracle Foundation, whose mission is to raise awareness and funds to assist Jeff Davis Parish residents battling breast cancer. Participating casino associates were allowed to purchase and wear specially designed t-shirts as part of their uniform on designated days during the month, raising a total of $9,900.

Kim Precht, President and Founder, accepted the donation from Coushatta Tribal Vice-Chairman Kevin Sickey and Coushatta Casino Resort General Manager Scott Sirois. They were joined by Sharon Doise Vincent (mother of Melissa Doise), Coushatta Tribal Councilmembers Loretta Williams, Crystal Williams and Jonathan Cernek, as well as Coushatta Casino Resort Tribal Development/Associate Engagement Manager Kristen Johnson.

Precht stated, “Our mission has always been to help women in Jeff Davis Parish with the financial burden of breast cancer treatment––and to raise awareness, because early detection is key. I want to express our heartfelt appreciation to Coushatta Casino Resort for this generous donation––without your help we wouldn’t be able to ‘do what we do.’ Thank you very, very much!”
